wooden bowls!!! lathe, turning...yeah

This is a stack of a few different types of wood in this stack. The top is tilia cordata, a hard, dense relative of basswood. There's some london plane tree in there.

this one is a london plane tree, basically it's sycamore which is maple...it's mixed with another tree so it can survive city life better and it's now one of the top trees in brooklyn....and it's carvable and food safe.
