Acanthus wood spirit, decorative panel in oak, and gnome.

Acanthus Wood Spirit man in basswood with stain, poly, then gel stain wipe off. I started this piece a long time ago. Finally finished it off.

This is another older piece that i never finished. It's one of the only pieces I've done in oak. Oak is really, really hard to carve. it's not just a hard wood but it's cross grain has these gaps that are even harder...idk..looks good though. It's got a glaze on it for contrast.

I made a gnome!! pretty original. He's carved out of london plane tree. the picture did not capture his color very well and his face looks way worse than it does in person...i swear.
