santa claus carvings finished!

okay so this one, probably the best this year, was the one you saw progress of in previous posts.There's nothing special about him but everything is perfect. I could not do him justice with the camera. He looks pretty good but it looks like there's sloppy parts in the photo that aren't really there. 

I think this is the runner up. He still looks good even up close, blown up in the photo. it's super hard to paint this detailed. for me at least. i started to get a hang of painting a little more this year. i generally don't paint my carvings...so i only really practice at christmas.

group shots!!! if you couldn't tell, that's snow behind them. isn't that great!? how perfect for santa. it was the first snow here in brooklyn this year.
