a finished carving, another progress sculpture and my workspace in winter

my outdoor work bench, and whittling seats

this guy was a long time in the making. finally finished him off. this one is in butternut. real interesting wood to work with. it's got a nice grain that isn't captured in the pics too well.

and then here is some more progress on the old man in the tub. i was kind of worried about this one. it's a size and kind of carving i don't usually do. still not out of the fire but it's coming along. it's allot of fun to figure out the anatomy as i go.
