What i've been working on in woodcarving

This is the start of a large project of an old man in a washtub.

this is a kind of tribute to an old carving i saw in a book. I really wanted to get down some of the caricature of the piece. It doesn't really look like the carving but i got what i wanted.

i made bread!! sourdough from scratch baby. no bread machine here.

this is a relief carving i'm working on...it's kinda a coat of arms...is it code or coat? idk..anyway it's kinda celtic too. I've been making tools for the background. i kept seeing these patterns on the flat part of old relief carvings and finally a book talked about them. but i couldn't find any anywhere so i learned how to make the damn things myself out of some tool steel. will post more about them later.
